Skip the pressure washer. Cleaning direction and method depend on the coil, access, buildup, and manufacturer instructions. Do not remove the top grille, reach inside, or spray electrical components to follow a generic cleaning tip.

What is included in the $169 tune-up?
The tune-up includes system inspection and testing, coil and drain-line cleaning, filter care appropriate to the filter type, operating adjustments and checks, and a written report. Airflow, refrigerant condition, controls, and system cycling are reviewed as appropriate to the equipment. The AC supply-circuit electrical inspection is included.
What does the free electrical inspection cover?
It covers the electrical supply serving the AC, including the circuit, disconnect, and connections. PRO brings HVAC and electrical expertise to the same visit. This included inspection is not a whole-home electrical inspection or a guarantee that every hidden issue will be found. Any repair is explained and quoted separately.
Does the tune-up price include repairs or added refrigerant?
Do not assume a repair, replacement part, added refrigerant, or extra work is covered by routine tune-up pricing. We explain findings and proposed costs before approved additional work. Tell us about a current operating problem when you request service so we can discuss the right type of visit.
How often should I have my AC tuned up?
Plan a professional cooling check at least annually, commonly before heavy cooling use, and follow the maintenance schedule for your equipment. System condition, use, and environment may call for more frequent attention. A current problem should be addressed when it appears rather than waiting for a seasonal appointment.
Does a heat pump need both heating and cooling checks?
A heat pump may work across both seasons. Review its manufacturer’s maintenance schedule and discuss heating-season and cooling-season care with PRO. Tell us the equipment type when requesting service so we can confirm the appropriate scope and price.
Should I book a tune-up if my AC is blowing warm air?
Call 703-225-8222 and describe the problem first. Warm air, repeated cycling, weak airflow, and other changes can have several causes and may need diagnosis or repair. A routine tune-up is not a promise to restore cooling. Ask about service availability and any visit charges.
Can I use a pressure washer on my outdoor AC?
No. High-pressure washing can damage the thin coil fins and restrict airflow. Leave deep cleaning and access to internal parts to a trained technician. For any manufacturer-approved exterior care, follow the equipment’s shutdown and cleaning instructions and leave covers in place.
Does every AC coil need to be rinsed from the inside out?
There is no single cleaning procedure for every coil and condition. A technician selects the method, direction, cleaner, and access procedure for the equipment and manufacturer instructions. Do not remove the top grille or reach inside to clean the unit yourself.
Will you clean or replace my air filter?
Filter care depends on the filter. Reusable filters and disposable filters need different treatment. We check its condition and discuss the appropriate care. Confirm the required size and type and whether a replacement filter or specialty media is included in your visit.
Will a tune-up guarantee lower bills or no breakdowns?
No. Maintenance can address buildup, check operation, and reveal issues that need attention, but it cannot guarantee a specific bill reduction, added years of life, or freedom from breakdowns. Keep the service findings so you can make informed care and repair decisions.
What should I receive after the visit?
Ask for the service date, equipment details, work completed, relevant operating readings, findings, and agreed next steps. Readings and test methods depend on the equipment and conditions. Keep the report with earlier records so future visits have a useful history.
Can I choose a preferred date in the request form?
Use the date options provided by the tune-up form, or call to discuss your schedule. A date selected in an online request is a preference, not a confirmed appointment. PRO follows up to confirm the visit, scope, and availability.
