Start with what you need to see
Arriving with groceries. Taking the dog outside. Walking from the garage to the door. Good exterior lighting begins with those everyday moments.
We look at the property, listen to your concerns, and discuss fixtures and controls that fit. Lighting supports visibility; it does not guarantee security or replace your other precautions.
Bring the front door, driveway, garage, or side gate into one practical conversation.
Replace outdated or failed fixtures after checking the existing wiring, box, and mounting.
Discuss sensors, photocells, timers, and compatible smart controls for the way you use the area.
Add lighting where it is missing, with the wiring route, access, and finish work defined first.
Build your project brief
Select the areas that matter to you. We’ll turn your choices into a short brief you can copy and bring to the estimate conversation.
Choose the areas that need attention.
Your project, organized
Highlight one or more areas on the list. Then choose how you want the lights to operate and tell us what is there now.
Your choices stay on this page. Copying does not send a request or book an appointment.
Choose when the light works
You may want a light when someone approaches, through the night, or only during certain hours. We match the control to the location and the selected fixture.
For activity around a location
Discuss the intended approach, sensor placement, timeout, and manual override. Test the actual setup so its behavior matches your routine.
For a location used throughout the night
A suitable photocell responds to ambient light. We consider placement, output, and whether overnight operation makes sense for the area.
For a routine you want to control
Use a compatible timer or smart control for selected hours. Confirm app, network, and account needs, plus a practical way to operate the light manually.
Already have a light that misbehaves?
Tell us whether it stays on, never comes on, flickers, or responds when you do not expect it to. Share the model and a photo if you can. We’ll review the settings, product, and electrical condition.
Request lighting helpMake the light useful
Good outdoor lighting considers the area you want to see and what sits beyond it: nearby windows, the street, the sky, and views from inside your home.
These principles align with DarkSky and IES guidance for responsible outdoor lighting.
Have a camera nearby? Share its location and model so we can discuss light placement and whether a nighttime view check belongs in the project scope.
From the first photo to the final settings
A straightforward replacement and a new light across the yard are different projects. We define the details before the work begins.
Discuss the areas, daily routines, existing fixtures, and concerns about glare or light reaching other properties.
Review power, circuit capacity, mounting, weather exposure, access, and any new wiring or trenching.
Confirm fixtures, controls, applicable permits, finish work, and exclusions in the proposal. Ask about current scheduling.
Check operation, aiming, and control settings. Discuss manual use and whether a nighttime follow-up is included.
Financing is available upon request. Ask about current eligibility and written terms. We also offer a veteran and military discount program.

Answers before the installation
Placement, controls, wiring, cameras, and project costs.
We review the areas you want to use after dark, available power, fixture locations, mounting, weather exposure, and controls. Your proposal defines the fixtures, wiring, access, testing, and any other work included. The final design depends on the property and selected equipment.
Start with the routes you use: the front door, garage, driveway, side gate, rear entrance, and steps. We review the actual layout and discuss where light is useful, where it may cause glare, and how the controls should behave. The planner on this page helps organize that conversation; it does not calculate coverage.
They serve different needs. Motion operation can suit occasional activity, while dusk-to-dawn operation keeps a suitable light on through the night. A timed or smart schedule offers another option. We compare the location, routine, product features, and manual control rather than applying one setting everywhere.
There is no single lumen number that fits every property. Area size, fixture height, beam pattern, surface reflectance, and glare all affect the result. We review the installation and product information before recommending output and placement.
Yes, after checking that the new fixture suits the location and that the existing box, support, wiring, and controls are suitable. Send a photo and the new product model if you already have one. A change in fixture type can also change the installation scope.
Yes. We review how power can reach the location, available circuits, wall or ceiling access, and whether exterior routing or trenching is involved. The proposal should identify electrical work, permits where applicable, and any surface restoration or finish work.
The cause may involve the settings, a manual override, sensor location, the surrounding area, or a product or electrical fault. Tell us the model, when it happens, and whether anything changed recently. We can assess the setup and test its operation instead of assuming a new sensor will solve it.
We can discuss the electrical installation after reviewing the exact product and location. Confirm whether the scope includes device setup. Wi-Fi coverage, subscriptions, recording, notifications, and privacy settings are separate product and account considerations. Keep account credentials private.
Lighting can help you see and use areas around your home after dark. It does not guarantee that a crime will be prevented or detected. Consider lighting alongside suitable locks, cameras, alarms, and your own security routines.
We consider direction, shielding, output, and control settings when planning the installation. Share any nearby windows, property boundaries, or areas you want to keep dark. Actual results depend on the fixture and site, so aiming and a nighttime review may be part of the agreed scope.
A fixture needs a rating and installation method suitable for its actual exposure. A covered porch and a fully exposed wall can have different requirements. We check the product instructions, mounting, wiring enclosure, and weather protection for the proposed location.
Cost depends on the fixtures, existing wiring, new wiring routes, access height, controls, and any trenching, permits, or finish work. Request a free estimate for an installation project. Diagnostic or repair visits may have separate charges; confirm those when scheduling.
